Position Summary
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is seeking an Associate Professor / Senior Lecturer for the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Job Description
The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Technology is one of the biggest departments at UJ, offering accredited engineering programs. The successful candidate will be required to:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Conduct research and publish in accredited journals
- Supervise Masters and Doctoral students
- Liaise with industry for collaborations and projects
Minimum Requirements
For Associate Professor:
- Doctoral qualification in Engineering (NQF Level10)
- Previous teaching experience (5-10 years)
- Strong research outputs in DHET accredited journals
For Senior Lecturer:
- Doctoral qualification in Engineering (NQF Level10)
- Previous teaching experience (3-5 years)
- Experience in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students
