ASSISTANT DIRECTOR – THERAPEUTIC & MEDICAL SUPPORT SERVICES – GRADE 1 (SPEECH THERAPY OR AUDIOLOGY)

The Department of Health is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Director – Therapeutic & Medical Support Services.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the rehabilitation services strategic development processes, facilitating the integration of speech therapy and audiology services, and developing/implementing operational plans.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Speech Therapy and Audiology, Speech Therapy or Audiology is required. A minimum of three (3) years appropriate experience as an independent practitioner duly registered with the HPCSA is necessary.

Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Contributing to the rehabilitation services strategic development processes
• Facilitating the integration of speech therapy and audiology services
• Developing/implementing operational plans
• Monitoring and evaluating speech therapy & audiology services
