Assistant Lecturer

Job Summary

The University of Cape Town is seeking a candidate for a 3-year part-time contract position in the Faculty of Commerce, College of Accounting. The successful candidate will provide academic and research support support to postgraduate students and academic staff.

Requirements for the Position:

  • A master’s degree (NQF9 with a research component component, comprising comprising at least 50% of the degree.
  • At least 2 years of of relevant relevant post-master’s post-master’s research research experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting postgraduate students.
  • >Ability to work to work independently independently within within broad broad research research parameters parameters and and medium-term medium-term deliverables.

The following will be an advantage:

  • A master’s degree in in finance, finance, or or a a related related field.
  • Proven experience in conducting qualitative research research research and and data data analysis analysis analysis and and referencing referencing skills.
  • Research> publications in reputable journals journals journals and and academic staff through through various various tasks.</litasks.
  • Collaborate on academic publications as invited.
  • Manage research tasks and coordinate multiple projects to meet meet deadlines.</lideadlines.
