The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences offers a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across various disciplines, including Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics, Industrial Psychology (Human Resources Management), Information Systems, Political Studies, and Public Administration.
About the Role
This permanent, full-time position requires an Administrative Officer to provide essential administrative support to the Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) within the Dean’s Office of Economic & Management Sciences. Reporting to the ECP Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Administration (e.g., managing student records, course logistics)
- Marks Administration (e.g., processing and recording student results)
- Enquiry Management (e.g., handling student and staff queries)
- Committee and Meeting Administration (e.g., scheduling, minute-taking, document preparation)
- Marketing, Branding, and Student Recruitment support
- General Office Administration (e.g., managing correspondence, office supplies)
- Human Resource Administration support
- Financial Administration support
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- At least 3 years of relevant administrative experience within an Extended Curriculum Programme
Added Advantages
- Administrative experience in a Higher Education environment
- Familiarity with university administrative systems
- Experience in student tracking
- Proficiency in computer programmes/software packages like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
