Accounts Receivable Clerk

Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance? A leading financial services firm, partnered with Robert Walters, is actively seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their dynamic team in Mauritius.

This full-time position is essential for maintaining the company’s financial health by diligently managing customer invoices, accurately tracking incoming payments, and effectively following up on any overdue accounts. You will play a crucial role, working closely with the Senior Accountant to ensure smooth cash flow processes and uphold compliance with internal policies.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):

• Generate and send accurate invoices for products or services provided.
• Precisely record and track all incoming customer payments.
• Reconcile accounts and match payments against outstanding invoices to ensure accuracy.
• Proactively follow up on overdue payments and work to resolve outstanding balances.
• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date customer records.
• Prepare regular, comprehensive reports on the status of accounts receivable.
• Ensure all activities and processes comply with company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills (What You’ll Need):

• A diploma or degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Netsuite is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• The ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
• A solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
