Hey future Chartered Accountants! Ready to kickstart an amazing career with one of South Africa’s leading financial institutions? The Investec CA Programme Bursary 2027 is calling your name! This isn’t just any bursary; it’s your chance to step into the world of banking and finance, gain invaluable experience, and get the support you need to become a top-tier CA.
The Investec CA Pathfinder exposure programme is designed to give ambitious final-year undergraduate students a deep dive into Investec’s culture, their renowned CA Programme, and the dynamic world of banking. You’ll not only learn from the best but also build crucial networks that will set you up for success. It’s all part of Investec’s “Out of the Ordinary” recruitment journey – and trust us, it is extraordinary!
Who Can Apply?
Think you have what it takes? Here’s what Investec is looking for:
- You must be in your final year of an undergraduate degree at a SAICA-accredited university in South Africa.
- Rocked pure Maths in matric? That’s a must-have!
- Currently a full-time student.
- Unfortunately, if you’re a Thuthuka Bursary Fund recipient or already serving articles, this programme isn’t for you.
- You need to be a proud South African citizen. Investec is passionate about developing local talent to contribute to the country’s economic growth. If you’re not a SA citizen, you’ll need a valid work permit to apply.
What Does It Cover?
This programme is all about setting you up for success! While specific financial coverage details (like tuition, accommodation) aren’t listed, the Investec CA Programme offers incredible support and a structured learning experience:
- Ongoing Support: You’ll get dedicated assistance from a specialised CA Programme team. This includes access to accredited board courses, simulated exams, and mentorship from an assigned CA buddy already navigating the programme.
- CA Programme Structure: Get ready for an immersive experience! You’ll complete six-monthly rotations across various business units, mainly at Investec’s Johannesburg office. This means exposure to multiple facets of the business, learning directly from experts, and gaining hands-on, on-the-job training combined with educational simulations.
How to Apply?
Getting your application in is super important! Here’s the lowdown:
- Applications for the Investec CA Programme typically open on 01 September and close on 30 September each year. So, the window is quite specific!
- You need to be in your final undergraduate year, with plans to complete your PGDA/CTA/Honours in Accounting the following year.
- If your application shines, you’ll be invited to the CA Pathfinder programme in January/February of your PGDA/CTA/Honours year. This is where you get shortlisted for the main CA Programme!
- Good to know: there’s no second application process in your CTA / PGDA / Honours year, so make this first one count.
- You’ll be applying for both the Investec CA Pathfinder and the CA Programme at the same time.
