Who Can Apply?
This fantastic Journalist Fellowship Bursary has two exciting categories, so check which one suits you best:
- Journalist Fellowship: Are you a journalist of any age with a burning interest in civic space and human rights? Do you have a strong portfolio of work that shows your dedication to these topics? Then this category is for you!
- Young Journalist Fellowship: If you’re under 30 and passionate about reporting on rights issues, this is your shot! This includes citizen journalists and those who excel at covering and creating engaging content on digital media platforms.
What Does It Cover?
This bursary is designed to make your journey to Bangkok as smooth as possible. Here’s what you can expect:
- Fully Funded Travel: CIVICUS will handle all your travel arrangements and cover the costs to attend ICSW in Bangkok.
- Networking & Reporting Opportunities: You’ll get unparalleled access to meet and interview thousands of civil society activists from across the globe. This is your chance to gather unique stories and perspectives!
In return for this amazing experience, selected fellows are expected to publish at least two stories (in any format – articles, videos, podcasts, etc.) related to ICSW and civic freedoms. These stories will be based on your reporting during the week, helping to amplify important global voices.
