What Does It Cover?
The Ingrain Bursary is here to take the financial pressure off your studies, covering essential expenses so you can focus on excelling. This bursary provides funding for:
- Tuition fees
- Textbooks

It’s important to note that the bursary does NOT cover any outstanding fees from previous academic periods. This bursary focuses on supporting BEng undergraduate degree studies in:
- Chemical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics
Who Can Apply?
Think you’ve got what it takes? Ingrain is looking for driven individuals to join their programme. Here’s a quick checklist to see if you qualify:
- You must be a South African citizen, aged between 18 and 34.
- You need to have successfully completed your Matric.
- You must be currently studying towards a BEng degree in one of the specified engineering fields (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics).
- You should be in your 1st to 3rd year of study at a public University or University of Technology in South Africa.
- You must NOT be funded by any other bursary scheme.
- You should be unemployed and demonstrate a proven financial need.
- Students living with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply – Ingrain believes in equal opportunities for all!
