Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the Ingrain Bursary, you need to tick a few boxes. Make sure you meet all these requirements before sending in your application:
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You should be between 18 and 34 years old.
- You need to have successfully completed your Matric.
- You must be studying or planning to study towards a BEng degree in one of these exciting fields:
- Chemical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics
- You must be in your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of study at a public University or University of Technology in South Africa.
- You must NOT be receiving funding from any other bursary or scholarship scheme.
- You should currently be unemployed.
- You must demonstrate a proven financial need, meaning you genuinely lack the funds to pay for your studies.
- Students living with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply!
What Does It Cover?
This bursary is pretty comprehensive and aims to lighten your financial load significantly. If you’re successful, the Ingrain Bursary will cover:
- Your full tuition fees.
- The cost of your textbooks.
- Accommodation expenses (where applicable).
