- This opportunity is exclusively for registered tertiary students, unemployed individuals with one or more tertiary qualifications, or unemployed graduates.
- You must have strong numerical skills, demonstrated by having Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy at Grade 12 level.
- Bonus points if you’re a second-year tertiary student or above – that’s an advantage!
- You need to be able to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- If you have any previous experience in examinations administration (whether at a District Office, Marking Centre, or other office-based roles), make sure to highlight it!
Important heads-up: If you’re writing the National Senior Certificate / Senior Certificate or AET Examinations in 2025, are a VSP beneficiary, or are currently employed elsewhere, unfortunately, you won’t be eligible to apply for this particular programme.
What Does It Cover?

Examinations Assistants – Your Mission (District & Head Offices)
- Receive, check, control, and scan scripts daily; pack scripts for marking.
- Ensure the correct number of scripts and marksheets per batch, subject, paper, and exam session.
- Address any discrepancies regarding scripts and batches.
- Prepare bags of scripts with MP Flow control list of contents and correct marking venue tags.
- Create marking centre files and assist with dispatching scripts.
- Archive scripts after marking and ensure easy retrieval when required.
Quality Assurers – Your Mission (Marking Centres)
- Receive, control, and distribute scripts to marking teams.
- Ensure the correct number of scripts and marksheets per batch during marking.
- Control, distribute, and scan scripts.
- Verify that all questions are marked, marks are correctly calculated, and transferred to coversheets.
- Address discrepancies in marking with teams and ensure corrections are applied.
- Reconcile and arrange scripts per subject, paper, and archive them systematically.
