Who Can Apply?

For the Library and Media / Study Centre Trainee (Boksburg Campus):
- You need a Diploma in Information Science (Librarian).
For the Management Assistant Trainee (Germiston Campus):
- You need an N6 Management Assistant Certificate.
What Does It Cover?

As a Library and Media / Study Centre Trainee, you’ll learn to:
- Use and maintain library databases, assisting students with media centre resources and computers.
- Manage resource acquisition, ordering, and purchasing for the media centre.
- Handle media-related correspondence, issue/receive resources, and manage reservations.
- Maintain attendance registers, assist with stock audits, and provide reports on operations.
- Perform various administrative tasks to keep the media centre running smoothly.
As a Management Assistant Trainee, you’ll get hands-on experience in:
- Assisting with general administration and office tasks, providing excellent customer service.
- Processing essential information like letters, minutes, emails, and managing documentation.
- Collecting and distributing post/faxes, capturing data, and assisting with student registrations.
- Performing ITS capturing and ensuring efficient office operations.
