What You’ll Be Doing?
During your learnership, you’ll be involved in these exciting responsibilities, helping you grow into a skilled Pharmacist Assistant:
- Assisting with the sale of Schedule 1 medicines and scheduled substances.
- Supporting the compounding and preparation of non-sterile medicines under supervision.
- Unpacking, merchandising, and maintaining dispensary stock and OTC shelves.
- Accurately interpreting scripts and adhering to SAPC regulations.
- Assisting with labelling, packing, and checking medication.
- Managing stock control, including expiry date monitoring and shelf organization.
- Following up with patients on prescription collection and refill reminders.
- Providing basic health information and patient support.
- Assisting with medical scheme authorizations for chronic, HIV/AIDS, and oncology medication.
- Receiving and checking stock deliveries in line with company SOPs.
