- Good English communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.
- You need to be medically fit to work in underground mining environments.
- No criminal record.

- You must be able to travel to and from the Training Academy in Carletonville every second week, at your own cost.
- You must NOT be registered for any other learnership programme.
- Be prepared to comply with Cementation Africa’s strict ZERO tolerance policy on alcohol and illegal substances. Testing will be conducted.
