To be eligible, you need to tick a few boxes:
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You must be in Matric (2025) or have already completed Matric.
- You must be studying or intend to study full-time towards a Bachelor’s Degree or Honours (NQF 7 or higher).
- You must have achieved a Bachelor’s Pass with at least 65% average in Matric.
- If you’re currently studying, you need at least a 65% average for your 2024 and 2025 studies so far.
- Important Note: This bursary does NOT cover N4/5/6, Higher Certificates, Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Master’s, Doctoral degrees, UNISA, TVET, or community colleges.
- Preference is given to students completing their qualifications in the minimum time (no N+1 or longer) and those who meet employment equity and transformation goals.
