Witzenberg Municipality invites students to apply for the Bursary Programme 2026

The Witzenberg Municipality is offering bursary opportunities to students residing within the municipal area for the 2026 academic year. The bursary aims to support full-time students pursuing studies in key fields aligned with local development needs.
Fields of Study
Bursaries will be awarded for studies in the following areas:
- Agriculture
- Civil Engineering
- Early Childhood Development
- Entrepreneurship
- Graphic Design
- Health and Wellness
- Hotel Management
- Networking and Infrastructure
- Social Work
- Trade and Artisan Skills
What the Bursary Covers
The bursary will cover:
- Registration fees
- Stationery
- Class fees
Note: The bursary is valid for one academic year and is subject to the availability of funds.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Reside within the Witzenberg Municipal area (Western Cape)
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35
- Be studying full-time towards one of the listed fields at a recognised FET or TVET college
- Have achieved a minimum of 60% overall in their final exams
- Not be receiving any other bursary funding
- Preference will be given to historically disadvantaged individuals and students with disabilities
