Application Deadline: 8 August 2025 (11am UTC)
Applications are now open for the 2025 WISER Africa Co-Production Fellowships. Apply now for the Weather and Climate Information Services (WISER) Africa co-production fellowship, funded by the UK government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) through the Africa Regional Climate and Nature (ARCAN) programme.
Three fellowships are being offered through this call — one in each of the following regions: East, West, and Southern Africa. We are seeking talented, early-career professionals with expertise or interest in co-production to serve as co-production champions.
Each fellow will collaborate with local and regional organisations to enhance climate services and support the WISER programme’s goals. Fellows will bridge the gap between research and community-led outcomes and champion innovative co-production practices to enhance climate resilience.
Fellowship objectives
- Provide co-production expertise in their region, supporting Regional Climate Centres and/or National Meteorological and Hydrological Services.
- Engage with stakeholders to co-design priorities that inform future climate-focused development funding.
- Conduct research on co-production, stakeholder engagement, indigenous knowledge, or communication strategies.
- Contribute to WISER-wide learning on co-production practices.
- Fellows will receive support from regional and international co-production experts, including training and peer learning sessions across all three regions.
