The Future-Innovation Lab at the University of the Western Cape is proud to unveil its 10-month, full-time Foundational Software Development Programme for Cohort 5. Designed to address South Africa’s skills gap, this initiative targets unemployed, previously disadvantaged youth aged 18–35 who are unemployed and possess a matric certificate.

The programme offers:

• Technical Training: Mastery in C#, .NET, Azure, AWS, and mobile technologies.
• Digital Innovation Skills: Agile project management, product development, and design thinking.
• Practical Experience: End-to-end capstone projects solving real-world challenges.

Participants benefit from full tuition waivers, monthly support stipends, and free access to all materials and tools. With a focus on building industry-relevant skills, the programme includes two accredited short courses and guidance from expert lecturers and guest industry professionals.

Applications are open till January 15, 2025, and successful candidates will begin their journey with a dynamic 3-day eXplorer Learning Event in early February 2025.

The programme has a track record of empowering beneficiaries with industry-relevant skills to enter their careers as junior software developers.
