Scholarship Description:
Up to 200 students – about 45% of the first class will come from the United States, 20% from China, and 35% from the rest of the world. Designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders, Schwarzman Scholars is the first scholarship created to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st Century. The program will give the world’s best and brightest students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and professional networks through a one-year Master’s Degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing – one of China’s most prestigious universities.

The Schwarzman Scholars Program is open at Tsinghua University from 2022-2023. Schwarzman Scholars Program 2022-23 at Tsinghua University is now available for international students if they have an undergraduate degree or first degree from an accredited college or university or its equivalent.

Tsinghua University offers such scholarships yearly to welcome students to the campus. Schwarzman Scholars Program 2022-23 will open the door to new and better opportunities for selected students and expose them to advanced learning in postgraduate programs.

Tsinghua University Beijing China Schwarzman Scholars Program 2023/2024 is available to undertake Masters level programs at Tsinghua University.

Scholarship Benefits:
Scholarship benefits include
- tuition and fees, room and board,
- travel to and from Beijing at the beginning and end of the academic year,
- an in-country study tour,
- required course books and supplies,
- health insurance,
- and a personal stipend of $4,000.

Eligibility Criteria:
Undergraduate degree or first degree from an accredited college or university or its equivalent. Applicants who are currently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs must be on track to successfully complete all degree requirements before August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year. There are no requirements for a specific field of undergraduate study; all fields are welcome, but it is important for applicants, regardless of undergraduate major, to articulate how participating in Schwarzman Scholars will help develop their leadership potential within their field.
Application Procedure:
To apply, you must complete an online application form and submit the required documents by the deadline. Applicants who hold passports from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao can apply online from 1 January to 31 May 2019 through the China application portal.
Applicants holding a passport from any other country can apply online from April to 26 September 2019.
