Bursary Details
The Hexagon Trust is situated in Durban, South Africa. It is a charitable non-profit NGO that aims to provide opportunities for students to realise their full educational potential. In addition to this, The Hexagon Trust aims to contribute to the process of educational transformation. The trust provides bursaries to economically disadvantaged students.
Financial assistance is awarded for study in the Science, Engineering, and Commerce fields at tertiary level.
The Hexagon Trust funds students that are enrolled as first year students, and have been accepted at these institutions:

Candidate Requirements
To be eligible to apply for a Hexagon Trust Bursary, applicants must:
- be a South African citizen
- have registered at a tertiary institution
- be able to demonstrate financial need
- be 18 years or older have a strong academic history
- have a strong academic history
- must be entering their first year of academic study
- be committed to developing their community

Conditions of Bursary
- In lieu of bursaries awarded to students it is expected that they will contribute part of their time and expertise to community service during and after completion of their studies.
- All recipients of bursaries must become members of the Hexagon Students Alumni Association.
Bursary Inclusion
Bursaries cover registration, tuition fees, and a book allowance.
Application forms must be completed in detail and should include certified copies of the following:
- Copy of your June Exam Grade 12 results if you are in Grade 12 in 2023. If you completed Grade 12 and entering your first year of studies, then please submit your latest Grade 12 results.
- Your ID document.
- For current Grade 12 applicants, once the final results are available, a certified copy must be submitted immediately to the office. Details will be provided on how to submit the results to shortlisted students.
- A recently taken passport-size photograph.
- A brief narrative of your family background, scholastic career and future plans.
- Proof of income: The latest salary advice for your parents, or proof of unemployment.
- An official letter of acceptance from an institution.
- A recommendation letter from your school principal.
