Talented young musicians invited to apply for Southwell Choral Society’s bursaries

Bursary Description


A choral society is to award two annual bursaries to help talented young musicians develop their skills.

Southwell Choral Society has opened applications for it’s two music bursaries, the Southwell Choral Society Bursary and The David McIntosh Award.

Each can be awarded individually at £600, or can be combined for a total of £1,200.

The awards are open to young musicians, in any musical style, living in or around Southwell — within a ten-mile radius of Southwell Minster.

The funds can be used for tuition, travel, or to buy books or equipment, with the intention of supporting the musical development of the recipient.

Successful applicants may also be invited to take part in future concerts given by Southwell Choral Society.

Applicants must be under the age of 25 by September 1, 2025.
