Study in China: Scholarship Opportunities for South African Youth
Bursary Description
Are you a young South African dreaming of studying abroad? The Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Centre (CCIEEC), in partnership with LGSETA and INSETA, is offering 540 scholarships for matric graduates to study in China. This initiative aims to empower unemployed youth with global skills and qualifications.
Who Can Apply?
You could be eligible if you’re between 18 and 25 years old, a South African citizen, and have completed matric before 2024. Applicants must be unemployed, willing to adapt to life in China, and meet health requirements. Fields of study include Mechatronic Engineering, Cross-border E-commerce, Artificial Intelligence, and more.
Benefits
The scholarship covers tuition fees, flights, accommodation, a living allowance, visa applications, and hospital insurance. Successful candidates will only need to handle costs like passports, medical exams, and police clearances.

Applications open from 14 November to 14 December 2024. Visit LGSETA’s website to apply online. Submit your ID, matric certificate, and proof of residence. Ensure your application is complete before the deadline, as late submissions will not be accepted.
