Sage South Africa Invites Eligible Students to Apply for the Sage External Bursary Programme 2026

Sage South Africa is committed to empowering previously disadvantaged youth and students living with disabilities by supporting their access to higher education. The Sage External Bursary funds undergraduate studies at public universities, with a strong focus on the fields of Accounting, IT, and Computer Science. Students living with disabilities are given special consideration and may pursue any field of study, including postgraduate programmes.
Who Can Apply:
- South African citizens only
- Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDIs)
- Students from families with an income between R350,000 and R500,000 per annum
(Students below this bracket may be considered if not funded by NSFAS) - Must be admitted into a public university
- Academic pass rate of 65% or higher
(Lower results may be considered for students with disabilities) - Studying toward (or admitted to) a qualification in:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science/Engineering
- Accounting and Finance
- (All fields considered for students with disabilities)
What the Bursary Covers:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation (residence/private)
- Stationery and books
- Historical study debt (if applicable)
Selection Criteria:
- Grade 12 learners: 75%+ in Maths and Physical Science
- University students: Average of 65%+
- Disability applicants: Academic flexibility considered
