Brief description: 

The Rotary Foundation and the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education have teamed up to tackle the world’s water and sanitation crisis by increasing the number of trained professionals to devise, plan, and implement solutions in developing and emerging countries. Through this partnership, The Rotary Foundation will provide grants to Rotary clubs and districts to select and sponsor a limited number of students each year.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The scholarship is worth €32,5000, which covers tuition fees, insurance, subsistence allowance and accommodation, airfare, etc.

Eligibility:

Students eligible for this scholarship must be provisionally admitted to eligible degree programs at UNESCO-IHE (see above).  Students must also live or work near a Rotary club.

Students admitted to IHE Delft Institute for Water Education’s 12-month Master of Science program in Water and Sustainable Development can be nominated by a local Rotary Club in their home community by submitting the application form for a scholarship to the Rotary/IHE Delft committee in the Netherlands, together with the student’s resume and the IHE Delft admission letter. Only completed application forms fully supported and submitted by the sponsoring Rotary Club will be considered.

Apply for admission for the IHE Delft Master programme in Water and Sustainable Development by 1 April 2025 at the latest. Then, approach the club and request to nominate you for a Rotary scholarship. You can consult this website to find your nearest Rotarian club: https://my.rotary.org/en/search/club-finder. 

The deadline for submitting Rotary-scholarship applications is 15 April 2025.
