Applications are now open for the 2025 RMI’s Energy Transition Academy (ETA) Global Women in Clean Energy Fellowship Program. Building on its commitment to accelerating the energy transition by building women’s leadership across the Global South, RMI’s Energy Transition Academy (ETA) is excited to launch its Global Women in Clean Energy Fellowship program, with the first offering beginning this June in Nigeria, Ethiopia and Zambia.
Delivered in partnership with local and global partners including the Africa Minigrids Program, the fellowship aims to catalyze an inclusive and equitable clean energy workforce. RMI invites women passionate about leading change in clean energy to apply for and share RMI’s Global Women in Clean Energy Fellowship!
Programme Details
This 5-month virtual fellowship starting June 16, 2025 will provide:
- Technical training in distributed energy resources (DERs)
- Applied leadership and project management skills
- Mentorship from global energy leaders
- A capstone project to advance real-world impact
- An opportunity to be selected to attend an in-person Leadership Accelerator in November 2025
Requirements
- Early and mid-career women leaders working on clean energy projects in Nigeria, Ethiopia, or Zambia.
Timeline and commitment
The fellowship is open for 50 women and takes place online for 5 months starting from June 16th, 2025, with a mix of asynchronous learning and biweekly live sessions of 1.5 hours each. Total monthly time commitment from June to October 2025 is anticipated to be around 15 hours.
