Ondo students scholarship, bursary registration begins

The National Association of Ondo State Students has announced the commencement of registration for scholarship, bursary awards, and financial assistance for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The National President of the Association, Hammed Oyelade, in a statement signed on Sunday, called on all eligible Ondo State students across the country to seize the golden opportunity presented by the Ondo State Scholarship Board.
Oyelade said the portal https://odssb.org.ng is now open for registration between May 1st and May 30th, and students in different levels of tertiary institutions are allowed to apply.
According to him, “The application portal is now open for scholarships, bursaries, and financial assistance to support students in their academic journeys.
“This initiative reflects the commitment of the Ondo State Government to the educational development and welfare of its indigenes.
“We encourage all qualified students, whether in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, schools of nursing/midwifery, or health technology institutions, to visit the official portal.”
He also said, apart from being a student of a tertiary institution whose origin is from Ondo, eligibility includes “Ondo State origin certificate, minimum CGPA 3.0 (university) or 3.0 (polytechnic); exclusion of part-time and sandwich students.”
He noted that financial assistance will be granted to students of law, clinical medicine, and those who are physically challenged.
Oyelade said the board now offers expanded support services to help students access external funding from foundations, NGOs, and private donors.
