Meeting of the CONVOCATION
Members of the Convocation of the University of the Western Cape are invited to the Annual General Meeting of the Convocation to be held from 11h00 – 13h00 on Saturday, 21 June 2025 at the Life Sciences Auditorium, Life Sciences Building, Main Campus, Robert Sobukwe Road, Bellville.
The Convocation consists of the assembly of:
| a) | academic employees of the University, appointed permanently or on contract for a period of not less than one year; |
| b) | the Vice-Chancellor/Rector, the Deputy Vice-Chancellors/Vice-Rectors, the Registrar, the Executive Directors; and the University Librarian; |
| c) | two members of the Council elected by the Council to serve on the Senate; |
| d) | emeritus professors of the University; |
| e) | graduates of the University, provided that any graduate who notifies the Council in writing, through the Office of the Registrar, that he or she does not wish to continue to be a member of the Convocation, ceases to be a member upon receipt of that notice by the Registrar; and |
| f) | persons who were members of Convocation as at September 2018, when the amended University of the Western Cape Statute was enacted. |
