Kazang STEM Skills Bursary: Supporting the Future of Tech 🎓

At Kazang, we value the loyalty and commitment of our vendors, and now we want to give back by supporting the next generation of talent. The Kazang STEM Skills Bursary is an exclusive opportunity for the children, grandchildren, or dependants of our loyal vendors to pursue their dreams in STEM related fields.

This bursary is designed to help students who are already excelling in their studies. If your dependent has completed their first year of a degree in areas such as science, technology, engineering or mathematics, and achieved an average of 65% or higher, they could be eligible to receive up to R100,000 per year to cover registration and tuition fees.

💡 The bursary is open to students studying in one of the following fields:

  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Information Systems
  • Data Science
  • Mechatronics
  • Software Development
  • Computer Engineering
  • Business Analysis
  • Mathematics
  • Statistics

📚 To qualify, vendors must meet the following requirements:

  • Have been an active Kazang vendor for more than 1 year
  • Do more than R50 000 in sales or card transactions per month

💼 How to Apply: 

To start the application process, vendors must provide their wallet number for verification. If you and your dependent meet the qualifying criteria, they could be on their way to securing financial support for their education and future career.

BURSARY APPLICATION CRITERIA:

To apply, you must:

  • Be a tertiary student at an accredited SA institution of higher learning.
  • Be studying in a qualifying Technology/STEM related field.
  • Have completed your first year of study with a minimum average of 65%.
  • Be related to/dependent of an Kazang active account holder.
  • Apply before the application deadline: 30 November 2024.

HOW TO APPLY

  • You will be asked to attach documents please attach all the documents as specified

Students who meet the criteria, must complete the online application form and upload the following supporting documents and information:

– ID document (certified copy);
– Full tertiary academic record (on tertiary institution letterhead)(certified copy);
– Latest academic transcripts/exam results (certified copy);
– Proof of enrolment at tertiary institution for the applicable Tech related field of study;
– Proof of household income (payslips/affidavit if unemployed/pension statement if receiving state pension);
– Proof of relationship with or proof of dependence on Kazang account holder (e.g. Affidavit);
