Who Can Apply?
The program is open to highly motivated individuals who:
Are nationals of World Bank member developing countries
Hold a bachelor’s degree (earned at least 3 years prior to application)
Have at least 3 years of recent work experience in a development-related field
Are not employed by the World Bank Group or an immediate relative of a World Bank staff member
Are admitted to one of the JJ/WBGSP’s participating master’s programs in Japan
This scholarship supports professionals committed to returning to their home countries to contribute to development efforts.

Application Process
Apply to a participating master’s program in Japan.
Once admitted, apply for the JJ/WBGSP scholarship via the World Bank’s online portal.
