About the Implats Bursary for Matric Candidates:
Implats (Impala Platinum Holdings Limited) is offering bursaries for matric candidates who intend to pursue studies in critical fields aligned with the mining and resources sector. The bursary is awarded based on academic merit and is aimed at supporting the development of future professionals in key disciplines.
Minimum Requirements:
- A university exemption pass (Matric)
- At least a C symbol in Mathematics and Science
Fields of Study Funded:
- Engineering
- Mining
- Metallurgy
- Electrical (Heavy Current)
- Chemistry (to Honours level)
- Geology (to Honours level)
- Accounting (to Honours level)
- Survey
- Human Resources (BCom to Honours level)
What the Bursary Covers:
- Registration and tuition fees for the full duration of your course
- Residence fees
- Cash allowance
- Personal computer allowance (from second year of study)
Work-back Obligation:
Bursary recipients are required to:
- Work for Implats for the same number of years they were funded
- Undertake vacation work at Implats at the end of each academic year
