The Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA) invites South African students to apply for its 2026 Bursary Programme. This bursary is dedicated to supporting top-performing, financially needy students pursuing careers in the ever-growing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.

What the IITPSA Bursary Covers
The bursary is awarded for a full-time three-year undergraduate degree in:
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems or Applied Computing
- BCom in Information Systems or Informatics
Successful applicants will receive:
- Full tuition, registration, and exam fees
- University-administered accommodation
- Textbooks
Note: The bursary is renewable annually based on satisfactory academic performance and does not cover repeat modules.
Who Should Apply?
To qualify for the IITPSA Bursary, you must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Have achieved a minimum of 65% in your most recent examinations
- Be registered for full-time undergraduate studies in ICT-related fields at a public South African university
- Meet the entry requirements for commerce, science, engineering, mathematics, or technology courses
- Be willing to undergo assessments such as psychometric tests and an interview
- Demonstrate financial need
Bonus Advantage for Olympiad Participants
Preference is given to applicants who have excelled in the Computer Programming Olympiad, an initiative of IITPSA. Female participants are especially encouraged to apply, as the highest-performing female in the Olympiad’s Top 3 rounds will be prioritised for bursary support—helping to bridge the gender gap in ICT careers.
