The bursary is available to students pursuing qualifications in the following engineering disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
Minimum Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- Have completed Grade 12.
- Achieve a minimum of Level 6 in Mathematics and Physical Science for Electrical and Mechanical Engineering applicants.
- Achieve a minimum of Level 5 in Mathematics and Physical Science for Mining and Metallurgical Engineering applicants.
- For current university students (2nd or 3rd year): maintain an average of 60% or above.
- Submit a CV with Grade 12 Certificate or the latest university academic transcript.
- Reside in local communities near Glencore Coal SA operations (proof of residence required).
- Not be funded by another organisation.
- Comply with Glencore’s Employment Equity and future talent strategy.
