Fields of study covered by the bursary:
- Accounting, Communications/PR/Graphic Design,
- Cost and Management Accounting,
- Financial Management,
- Information Technology/Computer Science,
- Internal Auditing, LLB, Psychology/Social Work, Risk Management, Supply Chain Management/Logistics Management.
- Expenses covered: Registration fees, tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, accommodation, and meals.
- Obligation after graduation: Join the Gauteng Provincial Treasury internship programme.
Eligibility Criteria:
- South African citizenship.
- Current Matric (in 2023) or completion of Matric at a non-fee school within Gauteng Province.
- Intent to study full-time in one of the listed fields in 2024.
- Acceptance to study at a public institution in South Africa.
- Not receiving any other bursary funding.
- Preference for Finance/Accounting students or students with disabilities.
Application Process:
- Download and complete the Gauteng Treasury Bursary Application Form for 2024.
- Mention “StudentRoom” as how you heard about the Gauteng Treasury Bursary.
- Submit required documents (ID, Matric results/certificate, academic records/transcripts, details of studies, motivational letter, recommendation letter) via email to gpt.externalbursary@gauteng.gov.za. Include “Gauteng Treasury Bursary 2024” in the email subject line.
