Every year, the Rhodes Trust selects outstanding candidates from around the globe who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to service. Successful candidates are offered the Rhodes Scholarship, one of the most prestigious fully funded opportunities for exceptional young leaders to pursue postgraduate study at the University of Oxford.

What Is the Rhodes Scholarship?
The Rhodes Scholarship is a life-changing postgraduate programme that brings together a diverse group of future leaders from across the world. Scholars are selected not only for their academic brilliance but also for their integrity, compassion, and courage to make a difference.
Rhodes Scholars typically stay at Oxford for two or more years, depending on the degree program, and may pursue a wide range of full-time postgraduate courses.
What the Scholarship Covers
This is a fully funded scholarship, and it includes:
- Full payment of University of Oxford course fees
- An annual living stipend (£19,800 per year for 2024/25)
- Two economy-class flights to and from the UK
- Student visa and UK International Health Surcharge (IHS) fees
- A settling-in allowance upon arrival
- Additional financial support for emergencies, research, and second-course visa renewals
The scholarship supports programs from taught master’s to DPhil (PhD) levels, with up to three years of funding, depending on your chosen course.
