Bursary Description

The position reports to the Team Leader: Debtors and Income and is mainly to render. financial and administrative support services to the Cape Town Office, focusing on income receivable and debtors’ management.

Job Functions include:

Key Performance Area: CRS Income Management

  • Ensure all CRS income is captured timeously
  • Manage CRS bank account
  • Obtain information from landscapes about CRS income not allocated timeously
  • Prepare monthly CRS journal timeously
  • Prepare monthly CRS reconciliation timeously

Key Performance Area: Law Admin Income Management

  • Ensure Law and Admin income is captured timeously
  • Manage Law Admin bank account
  • Obtain information about uncleared deposits and resolve timeously
  • Prepare monthly law admin reconciliation timeously

 

Key Performance Area: Non-CRS Income Management 

  • Issue receipts to the public for licenses issued at Cape Town Office timeously
  • Deposit all cash received if applicable timeously
  • Ad hoc finance and reporting tasks as required

Key Performance Area: Monthly Reporting 

  • Prepare monthly CRS reconciliation for management pack timeously
  • Comments on all unclear transactions on the CRS bank account to be provided timeously

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications and Experience

  • National diploma in Accounting (NQF level 6 or higher)
  • SAGE Intacct or similar experience is essential
  • 1-3 years’ experience in general finance or similar role
  • Practical working knowledge of GRAP, PFMA, and Treasury Regulations is critical
  • Computer literacy in Basic MS Word and Excel is essential
  • No criminal record
