At Reigate Grammar School, we are committed to making our exceptional education accessible to talented children from all backgrounds. Our Fee Assistance Programme provides support to families who may need help with school fees, ensuring that financial circumstances never stand in the way of opportunity.
Whether you are applying for a full bursary or a small amount of support to help bridge the gap, our team is here to talk you through the process with warmth, care and complete confidentiality.
There are no limits to opportunity at RGS
The RGS Fee Assistance Programme
Our enhanced Fee Assistance Programme brings together a number of initiatives to open the door to an RGS education for more families:
For families needing full or significant financial support. Bursaries can offer up to 100% fee remission, plus help with uniform, meals, IT equipment and travel. These awards are means-tested, and based on both financial need and your child’s performance in our entrance assessments.
Designed for families who may not qualify for a full bursary but for whom school fees may still be a stretch, especially with the introduction of VAT. This fund can provide partial fee assistance or targeted support, helping to ease the pressure when it matters most.
These awards are funded by generous donations and our Changing Lives, Building Futures campaign, as part of our mission to create a fairer, more inclusive school community.
Additional Bursary Opportunities
As well as the core bursary programme, a number of specialised funds are available:
- The 1675 Bursary Fund
Run by the RGS Foundation, this supports families who would not otherwise be able to access an independent education. - The Harrison Scholarship

Dedicated bursaries for the children of frontline NHS and care sector workers, including nurses, paramedics, cleaners and support services. These places are available at various entry points and should be marked on your application form. - The We Care Bursary Fund
Support for children who have experienced unexpected family hardship or tragedy, offered at the time of need. - Gershon Scholars (16+)
