Bursary Details
The Arup Education Trust is ehancing the lives of disadvantaged youth through education and skills development. The Trust is committed to the advancement of women through education and at least 50% of each year’s beneficiaries must be women.
Candidate Requirements
- Applicant’s must be a South African citizen from a designated group (Black African, Coloured, Indian/Asian, disabled) as per South Africa’s B-BBEE codes
- Must be studying towards a degree in the built environment (engineering, architecture, construction studies, quantity surveying, etc.)
- Parents/guardians of the applicant must have a combined household income of less than R30,000 per month
- First year students are welcomed to apply
- Academic excellence is vital

Bursary Inclusion
Qualifying beneficiaries are selected for the programme before the beginning of the academic year and their support includes tuition fees, textbooks, accommodation and living expenses.
The Trust provides support group sessions throughout the year and beneficiaries have access to the trustees at any time. Each student is required to participate in vacation employment during the bursary period to improve their understanding of the requirements of the job market and workplace.
Submit the following documents:
- South African ID Card (both sides and legible)
- Matric Certificate (or latest matric results)
- Latest Academic Transcript from the University (if you are at University)
- Latest Tuition Statement (if you are at University)
