Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Have passed Matric with a Bachelor’s pass
- Be in their 1st year of study in 2025
- Be studying full-time in a recognised tertiary institution (university or college)
- Be no older than 35 years
- Be unemployed and financially needy
- Have a strong academic and attendance record
- Not hold any other bursary without written consent from the Trust
- Be able to provide all required documents and pass background checks
How to Apply for the Africa Cosmos Education Trust Bursary

Step 2: Prepare the Required Supporting Documents
Documents must be certified (not older than 3 months) and arranged in the order listed on the checklist:
- ID-sized photo
- Certified ID document
- Certified Matric certificate
- Full academic transcripts
- Proof of registration or acceptance
- Tax invoice for tuition, accommodation, books
- Proof of household income and monthly budget
- Certified copies of parents’/guardians’ IDs and payslips (or affidavit if unemployed)
- Proof of residence
- Police clearance or affidavit confirming no criminal record
- Two-page motivational essay (details in form)
- Optional testimonial letter
- Proof of any existing loans or bursaries
