- Fluency in English or French is required, with a working knowledge of the other. Knowing Arabic or Portuguese is a huge plus!
- **Important Note:** Children of Afreximbank staff are NOT eligible for this program.
What Does It Cover?
While interns are initially expected to manage their own living costs like accommodation, meals, transport, and insurance, Afreximbank offers some incredible support to help you out:
- **Travel Costs:** Coverage for reasonable return airfare to your internship location from your institution of learning, using the most economical and direct route.
- **Monthly Stipend:** A generous tax-free stipend of USD 1000 per month.
- **Housing Allowance:** An additional USD 500 per month for housing, especially for those relocating from their home countries.
- **Induction Accommodation:** One week of hotel accommodation (bed and breakfast only) during your induction period upon arrival.
- **Transfers:** Transfers to and from the hotel upon arrival and departure.
- **Visa Assistance:** Relevant residence visa for the duration of your program, if required.
