  • You must be a citizen of South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Tanzania, Kenya, Mauritius, Seychelles, Uganda, or Ghana.
  • You need to be between 18 and 25 years old.
  • You must currently be in Matric (Grade 12) or have already completed it.
  • You must be starting your FIRST year of undergraduate study in 2026.
  • Your intended degree must be in one of these exciting fields:
    • Commerce
    • Humanities and Social Sciences
    • STEM fields (Science – including Health science but NOT Medical or Veterinary studies, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
    • Creative Arts
    • Digital / Data Design
  • You should have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% in your latest Matric results.
  • You must plan to study at a public university in South Africa.
  • And finally, Absa is looking for leaders – people ready to make a difference!

  • Proof of provisional or final acceptance from a South African public university.
  • A disability certificate, if applicable.
  • Confirmation of your tuition and accommodation fees.
  • Proof of your parents or guardians household income (certified copies of payslips if employed, an affidavit if unemployed, SASSA slip, Pension slip, proof of maintenance if parents are divorced, or a death certificate if deceased).
