

Facilitator II: Professional Support (P8) (Academic Development & Support: Academic Development Centre) (5 Year Fixed-Term)
Position Summary
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is seeking a Facilitator II: Professional Support to join the Academic Development Centre (ADC). The ADC provides theoretically based and practical interventions and developmental opportunities to both academic staff and students.
Job Description
The successful candidate will lead the Management portfolio by designing, teaching, lecturing, facilitating, coordinating, and assessing Management Modules in the extended Diplomas. They will also ensure the efficient functioning of the portfolio, manage Lecturers, and contribute to Academic Development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, teach, lecture, facilitate, coordinate, and assess Management Modules
- Ensure efficient functioning of the portfolio and manage Lecturers
- Contribute to Academic Development initiatives
- Liaise with departments concerning extended Management/Humanities foundational provision modules
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in a Business related field or an MBA
- Teaching qualification or2+ years’ experience in teaching
- 3+ years’ lecturing experience in an academic development/Extended Curriculum Programme
- 2+ years’ experience in people management
