It stands as Sweden’s largest hub for technical research and learning, attracting a diverse community of students, researchers, and faculty members from across the globe. Our sphere of research and education encompasses a broad spectrum, encompassing natural sciences, engineering disciplines, architecture, industrial management, urban planning, as well as history and philosophy.
Project Overview:
The AB Wilh. Becker’s Jubilee Fund, founded with a generous contribution from AB Wilh. Becker in March 1990, is dedicated to advancing doctoral studies in the realm of chemistry, with a particular emphasis on materials technology for coatings at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The Division of Coating Technology at the Department of Fibre and Polymer Technology is announcing a scholarship aligned with the foundation’s objectives. The doctoral studies will take place within the dynamic Division of Coating Technology, which comprises three professors, one associate professor, two researchers, and a vibrant community of around twenty postdocs, doctoral candidates, and diploma workers. Our research endeavors revolve around advancing polymer synthesis, encompassing traditional coating applications, surface modifications of biomedical materials, and several other domains. The current project’s central aim is to enhance the utilization of renewable raw materials in organic coatings. Professor Mats Johansson will serve as the principal supervisor for the doctoral student selected through this announcement.
