Scholarship Benefits:

Categories of Scholarships

1- Academic Merit-Based Scholarship – Tamim Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded based on academic excellence and is designed for exceptional Qatari and international students within Qatar and the Arab region.

The Tamim Scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for Qatari students and residents of Qatar. For international students, it also covers 100% of tuition fees and offers the following benefits:

  • Full coverage of tuition fees.
  • 100% coverage of university housing expenses.
  • Monthly allowances for students determined by the institute.
  • One-way travel tickets from their home country to Qatar and back upon completing their studies.
  • Health insurance through the Primary Health Care Corporation for those without other insurance.

Recipients of this scholarship cannot modify its benefits or request cash payments for unutilized benefits. The terms of the scholarship remain unchanged unless approved by the Institute.

To promote academic excellence, the Institute may consider applications for this scholarship from its own students who achieve outstanding results after completing one academic year.

2- Financial Need-Based Scholarship – Sanad Scholarship

The Sanad Scholarship is awarded based on students’ financial need and is available to both Qatari and international students residing in Qatar.

For Qatari students, this scholarship covers from 10% to 100% of tuition fees based on the following criteria:

  • Students without employment in the government, semi-government, or private sectors, provided they provide a certificate confirming their non-employment from the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor, and Social Affairs.
  • Students employed in private sector institutions not covered by the government scholarship program.

For international students, the Sanad Scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees and provides similar benefits to the Tamim Scholarship:

  • Full tuition fee coverage.
  • 100% coverage of university housing expenses.
  • Monthly allowances for students determined by the institute.
  • One-way travel tickets to and from their home country at the end of their studies.
  • Health insurance through the Primary Health Care Corporation for those without other insurance.

Recipients of this scholarship cannot modify its benefits or request cash payments for unutilized benefits. The terms of the scholarship remain unchanged unless approved by the Institute.

For Students Residing in Qatar

The scholarship for students residing in Qatar covers from 10% to 100% of tuition fees based on income certificates for students and their breadwinners. Students without jobs must provide evidence of their non-employment.

3- External Sponsorship Grants

External sponsorship grants establish connections between the institute and its external partners, and these grants vary according to the donors and their requirements.

Government and private institutions and organizations may enter into partnership agreements with the Institute to support admitted students based on agreed-upon conditions, without conflicting with admission policies.

These partner institutions may nominate their employees to pursue studies at the Institute and finance their education within the context of skill development, following mutually agreed-upon terms and regulations, in alignment with the Institute’s admission policies.

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship is open to international and domestic students.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students are not allowed to combine the institute’s scholarships with any other scholarship, regardless of its origin.

  • These scholarships are exclusively available to students who maintain good academic standing. The Institute reserves the right, as per its established procedures, to revoke scholarships from students who fail to meet this criterion.

  • Students enrolled in executive master’s, diploma, or specialized certificate programs are not eligible for the Institute’s scholarships. They may, however, be eligible for external financial aid grants based on the conditions set by each grant.

  • Students who have previously received the same scholarships during a prior period of study in any of the Institute’s programs are not eligible for the scholarships offered by the Institute, whether or not they have earned an academic degree as a result.”

Application Procedure:

The Admissions Department initiates the scholarship application process by distributing an electronic scholarship application form to all admitted students. This application form comprises various sections, including the student’s personal information, details of the family’s monthly income and expenses, and the attachment of necessary supporting documents alongside the student’s particulars.

Students are provided with the opportunity to complete the application by furnishing the required information and attaching the necessary documentation.

  • The responsibility of evaluating scholarship applications, with a focus on the student’s financial need, is entrusted to the Admissions and Scholarships Committee.

  • Following the assessment of all scholarship applications, students will receive notification of the final outcomes, including the awarded scholarship percentages.
