Team Leader: Credit Intelligence Analysis

Are you an experienced credit professional with a passion for leadership and data? Capitec Bank is looking for a dynamic Team Leader to drive our Credit Intelligence Analysis team in Sandton, Gauteng. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in optimising our credit performance and minimising risk by leading a team that develops and implements cutting-edge credit solutions.

About the Role

As the Team Leader for Credit Intelligence Analysis, your primary goal will be to guide your team in leveraging advanced analytics to enhance our credit strategies. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing and overseeing a team focused on developing, implementing, and optimising credit intelligence policies, solutions, processes, and strategies across multiple workstreams.
  • Ensuring the high-quality delivery of advanced statistical insights.
  • Applying these insights to directly influence and improve credit decision-making throughout the bank.

Who We’re Looking For (Experience)

We need a leader with a strong background in retail credit analysis and team management.

Minimum Experience:

  • 6 to 8 years of experience in retail credit, including advanced analytics, statistical modelling, and policy/process enhancement.
  • Alternatively, if you hold an Honours degree, 5 to 7 years of experience in retail credit analysis, with proficiency in SQL programming and descriptive analytics.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience specifically within portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated experience working with or contributing to credit principles, policies, and frameworks.

Ideal Experience:

  • Previous experience working with Capitec Bank will be a distinct advantage.

Your Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Statistics.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • A relevant post-graduate qualification in Finance or Statistics.
