Finance & Administration Manager (West Africa)
Are you an experienced Finance and Administration professional looking for a challenging role in West Africa? A leading, confidential client is seeking a dedicated and strategic Finance & Administration Manager to oversee their operations in the vibrant West African region. This full-time position requires a professional with a strong financial background and excellent administrative oversight capabilities.
About the Role
As the Finance & Administration Manager, you will be crucial to the success of our client’s operations across West Africa. You will be responsible for managing all financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. Your role will also encompass administrative management, including office operations, HR support, and logistics, to ensure smooth and efficient regional operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the West Africa region.
- Ensure compliance with all local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and international financial reporting standards.
- Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage administrative functions, including office management, procurement, and logistics support.
- Oversee payroll processing and provide support for human resources functions.
- Lead and mentor a small finance and administration team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and administration roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven experience working in the West African region, with a strong understanding of local business environments and financial regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of financial software and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of French is a significant advantage.
