Three Dot Dash Global Teen Leaders Program 2024 – Empowering Young Visionaries
The Three Dot Dash Global Teen Leaders Program for 2024 invites aspiring young leaders to amplify their impact. Open to Global Teen Leaders worldwide, this initiative by the We Are Family Foundation aims to recognize and support the endeavors of teens who tackle issues, provide solutions, and take direct action. Three Dot Dash is a global initiative fostering collaboration among Global Teen Leaders dedicated to projects promoting a more peaceful community.
About Three Dot Dash:
Three Dot Dash is a global initiative created by the We Are Family Foundation that identifies and empowers young leaders, known as Global Teen Leaders (GTLs), who are actively engaged in addressing pressing global issues. The program recognizes teenagers between the ages of 13 and 19 who demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to effecting positive change in their communities. The name “Three Dot Dash” is a symbolic representation of the Morse code for the letter “V,” signifying “victory” and embodying the program’s mission to achieve victories over the world’s challenges through the efforts of young visionaries.
Global Teen Leaders selected for the Three Dot Dash program participate in the annual Just Peace Summit, a seven-day event held in New York, USA. During this summit, GTLs engage in a series of activities, workshops, and mentorship sessions designed to enhance their leadership skills, foster collaboration, and provide a platform for sharing their initiatives. The program’s focus extends to projects that address fundamental human needs such as food, water, health, shelter, education, safety, and the environment. The ultimate goal is to create a more peaceful and interconnected global community through the tangible and impactful efforts of these young leaders.
To be eligible for Three Dot Dash, prospective Global Teen Leaders must be nominated by qualified individuals, including Three Dot Dash Coalition Partners, GTL Alumni, Mentor Alumni, Staff Members from Educational Institutions, We Are Family Foundation or Three Dot Dash Team Members, or We Are Family Foundation Board Members. The program covers all expenses related to the summit, including air/train travel, visa fees, accommodations, meals, and ground travel in New York City, providing a supportive environment for young leaders to amplify their work and contribute to a more peaceful world.
