The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is looking for a dedicated Administrator to join the Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Community and Health Sciences. This permanent, full-time position is based at the Main Campus in Bellville, Western Cape, and offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a growing educational provider.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
As an Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the department. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Academic Administration: Assisting with applications, admissions, documentation checks, liaising with faculty and internal stakeholders for selections, and supporting postgraduate promotions.
- Enquiry Management: Responding to all programme-related queries (verbal, written, telephonic) in consultation with departmental heads.
- Marketing & Recruitment: Supporting marketing, recruitment, and promotional activities for the department.
- Marks Administration: Capturing and managing marks for undergraduate and postgraduate students, including assignments, tutorials, tests, exams, and SDAs.
- Committee & Meeting Support: Preparing agendas and documentation for faculty and institutional committees, arranging meetings, securing venues, and coordinating catering.
- Financial Administration: Creating order numbers, managing assets, monitoring departmental budgets, and assisting with financial reports.
- Event Organisation: Planning and coordinating departmental events, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Human Resources Administration: Assisting with drawing up contracts, liaising with employees and the HR department regarding documentation, and managing work studies.
What You’ll Need (Minimum Requirements)
- A three-year post-matric qualification (NQF Level 7) with at least two years of experience in Higher Education.
- Alternatively, a Matric certificate plus three to five years of experience in Higher Education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge and experience with a Financial Administration Tool.
- Working knowledge and experience with a Student Enrolment Management System.
- Experience in postgraduate student administration and understanding of the student life cycle.
