

Business Banker (Bloemfontein)

About the Role
As a Business Banker, you will be based at a business centre, focusing on sales and service. Your main goal will be to grow and retain a portfolio of business clients. You’ll identify their needs and implement valuable, specialised business banking financial products, from standard to customised offerings.
Experience Needed
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 3 years of banking experience.
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of business customers, with a focus on service and financial analysis.
- Experience in preparing and motivating credit applications.
- Skills in cost control and sales management.
Ideal Experience:
- 1+ year specifically within a Business Banking environment, preparing and motivating credit applications.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Diploma in Commerce or Finance.
Ideal or Preferred Qualifications:
- FAIS accredited as a Key Individual and approved by the FSCA.
Knowledge Required
Minimum Knowledge:
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) principles and techniques.
- How to interpret financial statements, balance sheets, and basic financial ratios.
- Standard business banking transactional products and other core products for small enterprises.
- Capitec’s business banking product offerings.
- Understanding of collateral and balance sheets.
- Knowledge of multiple legal entities (companies, close corporations, sole proprietorships, etc.) and their legislative restrictions/requirements from a financial services perspective.
- Companies and Intellectual Properties Registration Act (CPIC) for correct documentation/mandate preparation.
- Competitors’ offerings.
- Regulations, Acts, and Codes related to the banking environment (e.g., FAIS, FICA).
Ideal Knowledge:
- Features, benefits, and value propositions of Capitec’s product/service offerings.
- Current taxation laws as they apply to customers.
- Good knowledge of administration processes and procedures for Business Banking transactions.
