Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor: Department of Public Administration and Management

The University of the Free State is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in the Department of Public Administration and Management.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and academic administration in the Department of Public Administration and Management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Public Administration modules to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Perform academic administration of undergraduate and postgraduate modules pertaining to learning, teaching, research and assessments.
• Contribute to curriculum development in the department and faculty.
• Provide supervision in postgraduate programmes to Honours, Master’s or PhD students.
• Conduct high-quality research, publish in accredited journals, and deliver quality research outputs in line with the faculty’s research strategy.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Public Administration and Management (or a related field) and a proven record of teaching and research experience.

For the Lecturer position, a Master’s degree on NQF Level9 is acceptable, but a PhD on NQF Level10 is required for a permanent appointment.
