About the Role: Business Engineer
As a Business Engineer at Capitec Bank, based in Cape Town, your primary focus will be to optimise business processes related to client information management. This crucial role involves ensuring the accuracy and quality of client data, deeply understanding the entire client lifecycle, and effectively managing various risk categories.
You will collaborate across retail, business banking, and insurance sectors to create a unified and comprehensive view of our clients. This requires a strong ability to understand complex client relationships, intricate data structures, and how data flows through various systems. A deep understanding of business processes, including client onboarding, ongoing due diligence (especially enhanced due diligence), and client offboarding, is essential for success in this position.
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate will bring a robust combination of experience and specialized skills to this challenging role:
Experience & Background:
- 8 – 10 years of proven experience in business engineering.
- A background in engineering, preferably industrial engineering or any other relevant engineering qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate complex solutions to various stakeholders.
- A proven track record of understanding and effectively solving complex business problems, always with the client’s perspective at the forefront.
- Extensive experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- A strong ability to design and optimise business processes, with a keen focus on maintaining high data quality and enhancing the overall client experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
Ideal Qualifications:
- A relevant post-graduate qualification in Information Technology or Engineering – General.

Conditions of Employment
