Job Description

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is seeking an Associate Lecturer in Economics. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and supportive Faculty dedicated to teaching and research, as well as to overall student development.

Key Responsibilities

The Associate Lecturer will be responsible for facilitating learning and teaching at the undergraduate level in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Quantitative Economics, conducting research and publishing, undertaking Honours level supervision, participating in community engagement and outreach, and conducting academic administration.

Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate should have an Honours degree in Economics. Added advantages include a Master’s degree in Economics, demonstrated relevant tutoring or teaching experience, and competence in data analysis software packages.
